The following information is to aid you in constructing a suitable base, and therefore eliminating the risk of problems with your building due to poor foundation.

Please note that if your prepared base is not suitable there will be a re-visit charge of £100.00 once the base has been suitably corrected. Please contact us should you need any advice on base preparation.
Planning Permission Planning permission is not generally required as the Wessex Range of garden buildings are classed as "Portable Buildings", however the interpretations of planning requirements does vary with different authorities. If you are in any doubt as to whether planning permission should be obtained for your required building, contact your local planning office or visit www.planningportal.gov.uk Planning permission may need to be obtained if: * Your building is being erected in the grounds of a listed building, a conservation area or green belt land. * Your building exceeds 30 m2 floor area. * Your building will stand taller than 4 metres once erected. * Your building will cover more than 50% or more or your grounds.

Building regulations also vary from area to area. Although the Wessex Range complies with the rules in most areas it may be wise to check with your local authorities.
