Base preparation guidelines IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GARDEN BUILDINGS
Base Preparation
It is important that your shed is erected on an adequate base. It must be square, level and firm. If the base is not level, this could result in your doors sticking. We recommend one of the following methods:
Concrete base:
Approximately 2" deep using 5:1 ballast to cement mix on a cleared area.
Slab base:
Remove any vegetation and lay slabs onto sand or ballast. Ensure, using a spirit level that the slabs are level.
Floor bearers:
We suggest 3"x3" fencing posts laid in the opposite direction to the floor joists. (Floor joists run along the long length of the shed, the only exception to this being the Play Kabin in which the floor joists run along the 6' length) lay one at each end and the remainder at approximately 16" to 19" centre.
Using a spirit level ensure that the bearers are level with each other. This method is not considered suitable for buildings over 10' x 6' or for summerhouses.
ALLOW APPROXIMATELY 9" EXTRA ALL ROUND THE SHED YOU HAVE ORDERED TO ALLOW FOR THE ROOF OVERHANG.
Access
Our FREE erection service is at the time of delivery, if we are unable to erect your building due to lack of clear access or a level base not being ready, the shed will be left, either for self erection or if you require us to return, a revisit charge of £50.00 will be made (payable in advance). We must be made aware in advance of any access problems (i.e. alleyways, doorways etc). Your shed is made in sections so please ensure that all of these can be carried through to the area with ease. All foliage must be cleared away to allow easy assembly of your building. PLEASE ENQUIRE IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS ABOUT ACCESS.
Delivery
A week before delivery and erection you will receive a letter of confirmation. We make every attempt to reach you on the day stated, however sometimes due to weather or road conditions this is not always possible. It is not necessary for you to be in at the time of delivery. If we can gain access to your garden and the shed location is obvious we will erect your shed or alternatively you could send us a sketch where the shed is to be erected. Unfortunately we cannot give an accurate time of delivery due to varying weather and road conditions.
Payment terms
When placing the order only a 15% deposit is required. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable. The outstanding balance has to be paid prior to delivery. The following forms of payment are acceptable:

3.CREDIT/DEBIT CARD
Our supplier does regret that they cannot accept a personal cheque.
